Following a 1:1 assessment, I am available to work in school, on a 1:1 basis, working on the targets that have been identified during the assessment.
These sessions will be booked in sets of 6 weeks, and will take place in school, during the school day. I will consult with the class teacher to ensure that strategies used are part of normal classroom practice, and I will keep detailed records of all activities carried out, along with examples of work completed, so that progress can be documented, week-on-week.
Introducing Oakley!
Oakley is our fully-trained school therapy dog. He is almost 2 and a half years old, and he has been in schools since he was 4 months old.
Oakley is a golden doodle - his dad was a golden retriever and his mum was a standard poodle/golden retriever. He is a friendly dog who loves being in the company of children. He loves nothing more than being stroked and pampered by little people.
Oakley can offer support to children and staff alike. He can 'listen' to children read, he is happy to be walked by them and he loves working hard for treats by practising lots of different tricks.
If you would like Oakley to visit your school, contact Suzanne (details below) and she'll happily arrange for him to come in. Remember, Suzanne is a trained teacher, so not only are you hiring a fluffy friend, you also get an experienced teacher as well!
